"Keep a little fire burning; however small, however hidden." -Cormac McCarthy
As I was drawing the lady on this page, I was imagining her standing next to a fire on a cold day.
She was closing her eyes, enjoying the heat radiating off of it.

She's supposed to have closed eyes, not creepy yellow open ones, but I don't know how well that reads.
And I was thinking about how hope is a lot like a fire.

The prompt for this page was 'warmth', so I tried to use mostly a warm color scheme. This is one of those page barf collages, where I just started sticking things down with no plan at all. Sometimes that works, sometimes it fails epically. But I think I like this one.
In small doses, from a distance, and at the right time, we can close our eyes and enjoy it.
But there are times when we stand too close.
And it burns us.
Hope really is like that.
It's a tool we can use to get us through hard times and struggle.
But it's also a weapon we can unintentionally end up using against ourselves if we're not careful.
